The following is included in the Perkins laundry audit.

·         Review all laundry formulas to identify potential water, labor or energy savings.

·         Review all chemical concentrations going into the machine.

·         Perform a titration on a load of wash - a titration checks the chemicals during and after a wash load, to include proper alkalinity during the wash, proper bleaching during the bleach bath and proper souring of the load during the sour bath. We also measure any residual chlorine at the end of a wash cycle, check for any iron present in the linen at the end of a wash cycle and check for proper PH at the end of a wash cycle.

·         Inspect for proper operation of the washer.

·         Inspect the dryers – checking the flame and for proper operation.

·         Review of product MSDS sheets to ensure that all are posted.

·         Inspect the results of the linen, for any graying or staining.

·         Inspect the tensile strength of the linen to inspect for over-bleaching.

·         Review the current frequency of preventative service calls - with Perkins, these calls are monthly.

·         Review current response times of emergency calls.
