At Perkins we hold environmental responsibility in high regard.  So, we aim
to minimize our impact on the environment through recycling initiatives.  In
2007 we recycled 33% of our overall disposal. The materials we recycled
included:

* Corrugated (100 tons)
* Plastics (45 tons)
* Greenbar Paper and mixed paper (35 tons)
* Batteries
* Light bulbs (over 2500)
* Steel, Stainless Steel (50 tons)
* PC’s
* Skids

In addition, we’ve minimized our impact on the environment by implementing
energy saving initiatives including:

* Switching from 1200 metal halide light fixtures to highly efficient T-5
lighting.
* Utilizing sensors in each light fixture that shut off the lights when
nobody is in the vicinity.
